The vaikunta ekadasi darshan lasts for the 10 days of period, considering to give a best darshan for the devotees who are appearing for this darshan. Vaikunta Ekadasi is a significant Hindu festival observed in honor of Lord Vishnu. It falls on the 11th day (Ekadasi) of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the moon) in the month of Margashirsha, which usually corresponds to December or January.
This day is considered highly auspicious and is believed to open the gates of Vaikunta, the heavenly abode of Lord Vishnu, for devotees. People observe fasting and engage in various religious activities to seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu. The fasting lasts for 24 hours, from sunrise to the next day’s sunrise, and it is believed to cleanse the mind and body, leading to spiritual growth.

On Vaikunta Ekadasi, many temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu, especially the famous Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh, witness a significant influx of devotees. Around 150,000 to 200,000 devotees visit the temple on this day to participate in the special prayers and rituals. The “Vaikunta Dwaram” (gateway to heaven) is opened, and devotees pass through it, symbolizing their journey towards liberation. In addition to Tirumala, the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Tamil Nadu also attracts thousands of devotees during this festival. The combined devotional fervor and participation in these rituals make Vaikunta Ekadasi one of the most revered and celebrated festivals among Hindus.
Ekadashi is a sacred day in the Hindu calendar as it happens on the 11th Tithi or the lunar day in two instances every month-one at Shukla Paksha or the bright fortnight
of the moon and the other at the Krishna Paksha or the dark fortnight of the moon. Lord Vishnu devotees perform Ekadashi fasting with the hope that He may bless them and impart His love on them.
