Ekantha Seva is a special ritual in the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh, India. this ritual is the last daily ritual which is performed for Lord Venkateswara. During Ekantha Seva the temple is calm and only a few priests and devotees are present in this seva. Meanwhile The deity is decorated with flowers and offered food like sweets and fruits moreover and more with the daily basis. A descendant of Saint Annamacharya sings lullabies to the Lord to get sleep creating a peaceful atmosphere in the tomb. For Ekantha Seva at Tirumala Temple if you are planning to visit as an tourist then you must wear traditional clothes:
- Men: if you are men then you need to wear a dhoti or lungi with an uttareeyam (shawl-like cloth) or a kurta-pyjama there is no allotment of wearing any other type of wearings .
- Women: if you are a women then you need to wear a saree or a chudidar with a chunni.
Casual clothes like jeans, shorts, T-shirts or anything revealing are not allowed.
